Place2Be's Children's Mental Health Week

This week seems more appropriate than ever given the impact of Covid-19 on children's mental health. There's no doubt, children are struggling with the isolation and frustrations of staying at home, and Place2Be was launched to spotlight the importance of children and young people's mental health. It is predicted that up to 1.5 million children and teenagers across the UK with new or additional mental health need support as a direct consequence of Covid-19. According to the NHS, 1 in 6 children are experiencing a serious mental disorder.

This week, the theme is 'Express Yourself' and is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.
