What does 2022 hold for you?

Every year millions of people make New Year's resolutions for a variety of reasons, some to improve their health, others to live more balanced lives. Many are successful, others not so. Popular resolutions include exercising more, saving money, stopping smoking and over-consumption of alcohol, self-improvement, and better psychological health.

It is easy to let your goals slide by the waist-side, so try these tips to help you stay on track throughout 2022:-

# Set realistic goals which you know you can achieve, and sustain throughout the year. Goals need not be so grand that you start to doubt whether you can achieve them, remember, they are your goals for your own improvement, no-one else.

# Keep track of your progress using a weekly journal, and be honest. As soon as you start being dishonest with yourself then things will easily slide. If you can keep a chart of how you are doing each week then you're more likely to stick with it, and recognise when you deserve a pat on the back, or some motivational words to get back on track.

# Making too many resolutions is a common mistake where you will probably forget what goals you have actually set out, and they soon become meaningless. Make no more than five goals and be sure they are achievable in your busy lives

# Get plenty of sleep, we all function better and are far more productive and positive.

There is of course no pressure in setting yourself targets for the year ahead, but there are times when giving yourself focus is healthy and inspiring. Overall, stay positive and look at the good in your lives.
